Welcome to the G3 (GFZ GRACE Gravity) Browser, interactive tool for visualizing and comparing Temporal Models.

Model Selection & Settings

Customize your gravity models using the controls on the selection panel:

• Add/Remove Models: Use the '+' button to add a model series and the corresponding '-' button to remove it.
• Model Parameters: Choose the functional for calculation, and select different degrees and filters for the available models. The parameters can be different for different models.
• C20 Replacement: Optionally replace the degree 2, order 0 coefficient (C20 ) with an estimate derived from SLR observations.
• GIA Correction: Apply a correction for Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) by subtracting the ICE-6G GIA model. The reference date for this correction is January 1st, 2002.

Map & Visualization Controls

The map displays one of your selected models.

• Model Display: Select which model series to display using the drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the map.
• Zoom: Adjust the zoom level using the slider on the right or by pressing Shift + MouseWheel.
• Color Intensity: Change the visualization's color intensity using the slider in the bottom-left corner.

Time-Series Graph & Data Analysis

Below the map you can find a graph with time series. Your choice of parameters is automatically reflected by the graph.

• Basin Average: Click on a basin in the map to display the average time-series for that selected region.
• Point Time-Series: to display the time-series for a specific point, go to upper-left corner of the map and select "Point" from a drop-down menu. Than pick a point on the map. Note: Point values are interpolated from a 1×1 degree grid.
• Map Month Selection: Click on any data point in the graph to update the map and display the corresponding month's data.
• Animation: Cycle through all data points by clicking the Play button in the top-left corner of the graph.
